Om Prakash Jogender Singh University, widely known as OPJS University, commenced its establishment in the academic year of 2013 and is located in Churu district of Rajasthan. OPJS University is a state university that has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the Bar Council of India (BCI), and National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The University has also been recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The principal aim of establishing the university was to provide an environment conducive to education and contribute to society at the highest levels of excellence possible.

The infrastructure of the university is spread over an area of 32 acres of land. The campus of the university has been renovated lately and it provides all the basic amenities to its students. These basic and primary facilities include:

The campus of the university houses 2 storied Central Library and it is known as one of the largest libraries in Churu, Rajasthan. It is properly ventilated and illuminated making it easier to be there. The library has book stacks of almost 30,000 books that cover the course being taught in the university.

The campus has been recently enabled with Wi-Fi internet connectivity. This enhances students' ability to learn more and maximize their capability to adapt various learning techniques. This makes information accessibility easier for the students.

Hi-Tech Computer labs make students industry ready and motivate them to accept challenges of an information society. The computer systems of the laboratories are well connected through LAN. The labs are equipped with high speed internet connectivity and power full servers for students.

The faculty members of the university are well educated and highly qualified. They use various techniques to make learning better and easier. Most of the faculty members are experienced in their respective disciplines. Their friendly behavior helps students get through their doubts.

OPJS University Courses include programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. These courses are under different 17 departments namely Agriculture, Engineering & Technology, Commerce, Management Studies, Computer Science & IT, Architecture & Planning, Hotel Management, Library & Information Science, Arts & Social Studies, Foreign & Indian Languages, Education & Physical Education, and Journalism and Mass media. The candidates seeking admission to any of the programs must ensure that they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria defined by the university.
