The establishment of Nirma University took place in the academic year of 2003. It is in Gujarat, Ahmedabad and works under the patronage of Nirma Education and Research Foundation (NERF). It is a private state university which has been approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university has been accredited to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and is given grade ‘A’. Nirma University shares the honor of being a member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU).

The university has seven components possessing institutes that provide programs under undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate level. The seven constituent institutes working under the aegis of Nirma University are as follows:

• Institute of Technology- Institute of Technology offers programs at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate level. In addition to it, the institute also offers MCA program. The programs are offered under several specializations.
• Institute of Management- The candidate willing to pursue their career in the field of management can consider getting admission to the Institute of management.
• Institute of Pharmacy- Doctoral programs in the fields of pharmaceutical sciences are offered by the institute.
• Institute of Science- It offers quality education to postgraduate students. It could be a good option to start your career within the field of medicine.
• Institute of Law- The idea of establishing the institute was to provide excellence in the field of legal education. It is aimed to fulfill the increasing demand for legal professionals.
• Institute of Architecture and Planning- The institute helps students in the field of Architecture and planning.
• Institute of Commerce- The institute was designed to provide education that brings brilliance, excellence, and professionalism.
• Department of Design- Industrial design and communication design are the two specializations offered to the students seeking admission to higher education.

The infrastructure of the university is spread over an area of 125 acres providing all the basic amenities to the students. It has 16 hostels with almost 3000 intake capacity. Basic facilities such as classrooms, library, computer labs, cafeteria, hostel etc. play a vital role while describing the strength of the university.

It has been ranked 79^th among best engineering colleges, 31^st among best business colleges, and 16^th among best pharmacy colleges by National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), 11^th among best law colleges by Outlook India, and 27^th among best law colleges by The Week.

Nirma University Courses

Nirma University offers courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. The university also offers programs at the Doctorate level. Besides, there are various specializations to the courses offered. Candidates can choose the field they wish to pursue their career in.

Nirma University Admission 

The admission procedure at Nirma University varies for each program. The candidates are first required to visit the official website of the university and get themselves registered. There are various entrance examinations conducted at the state and national level, based on which the candidates are shortlisted. The score of entrance examinations like JEE Main, NATA, CLAT, GATE, CAT, GPAT, GMAT etc. are considered for admission to the courses at different levels.

Nirma University Placements trend has seen a slight increase over the past few years. The placement is offered through the placement cell of the university. The function of the cell is to counsel and provide training to the aspirants before appearing for the activities conducted by the recruiters.
