About the Internship
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Interior Design Intern to join our team. The candidate will assist the design team in creating functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces for residential and commercial projects. This internship provides hands-on exposure to design development, site coordination, client interaction, and execution processes.Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Assist senior designers in preparing design concepts and presentations.
2. Create 2D drawings and layouts using AutoCAD.
3. Develop 3D models and visualizations using SketchUp and rendering software.
4. Support in material selection, mood boards, and furniture selection.
5. Take accurate site measurements and prepare measurement drawings.
6. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and project teams for smooth execution.
7. Assist in preparing working drawings and detailing.
8. Participate in client meetings and understand project requirements.
9. Conduct market research for materials, finishes, and latest design trends.
10. Support the team in project documentation and BOQ preparation.
11. Visit project sites when required for supervision and coordination.
12. Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
Skills required:
1. Basic knowledge of Interior Design principles.
2. Hands-on experience in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
3. Knowledge of V-Ray, Lumion, or other rendering software is an added advantage.
4. Good communication and presentation skills.
5. Creative thinking with attention to detail.
6. Ability to work in a team environment.
7. Willingness to learn and adapt quickly.
