The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admission Certificate three weeks before the commencement of the examination. The e-Admission Certificate will be made available on the UPSC website [www.upsc.gov.in] for downloading by candidates. No Admission Certificate will be sent by post. If a candidate does not receive his e-Admission Certificate or any other communication regarding his/her candidature for the examination three weeks before the commencement of the examination, he/she should at once contact the Commission. 

  • Once a student qualifies the preliminary exam and achieves the desired cutoff, he can proceed on to the next exam. The candidate would have to pay an additional fee of 200/- if he proceeds to give the mains examination.
  • The entrance to the exam is purely provisional based on the information given to them on the basis of the application form. The form would be scrutinized at a later stage.
  • The admit card to the mains exam would not be issued before the proper scrutiny of the application form.
