Once the merit list of the candidates is declared, they are invited via post or registered email address for admission. Dates, Time and Venue shall be announced and candidates would be coming for counseling only on the allocated date. SSC CHSL would be conducted for recruitment of Lower Division Clerks and Data Entry Operators at various departments and offices across ministries. Ther are required to clear all the Tiers of the exam to get selected for the same. 

The candidates who are successful in the Tier 1 test are selected for the Descriptive test and later on for the Tier-3 Skill test. The marks scored by the candidates should be above the cutoff or equal the same to proceed to the next round. 

The SSC CHSL Selection Procedure usually consists of 3 stages: Written Examination, Description Test and Skill Test. The successful candidates qualifying Stage 1 is called for Stage 2. The SSC CHSL Exam gives numerous candidates the opportunity of getting placed in the posts of Lower Divisional Clerks, Data Entry Operators, and Posting Assistants.

These are the highlights of the selection procedure mentioned below:

  • Skill test is held to determine the qualifying candidates.
  • The Candidates would be selected from those who have qualified all stages of the exam.
  • The merit list containing the name of such candidates would be published.
  • SSC would suggest the names of the candidate for appointment to various posts on the basis of the names mentioned on the merit list.
  • The final result would be published on the SSC Official website.
  • Document Verification of the candidates before joining their posts would be done.

  1. The Average marks that are scored by the examinees
  2. Total number of vacancies
  3. The Difficulty level of the examination
  4. Previous year cut off scores
  5. Overall Performance in the exam
