Candidates would have to check the eligibility criteria before applying for SSC CHSL 2019. The candidates should have completed Grade 12 or equivalent from a Government Recognized Institution. 

The minimum age that a candidate must complete being eligible for the exam is 18 years. The age relaxation that is usually provided to the candidates is as per the Government policies which are described below:

Ex-Servicemen 3 years after deduction of military service
Ex-Servicemen (OBC) 6 years (3+3) after deduction of military service as on the date of closing.
Ex-Servicemen (SC/ST) 8 years (3+5) after deduction of military service as on the date of closing.
Central Govt Civilian Employees (Gen) Upto 40 years
Central Govt Civilian Employees (OBC) Upto 43 years
Central Govt Civilian Employees (SC/ST) Upto 45 years
Domiciled in J&K (Gen) 8 years
Domiciled in J&K (SC/ST) 10 years
Widows/Divorced Women/Women judicially separated and not remarried (Gen) Upto 35 years of age
Widows/Divorced Women/Women judicially separated and not remarried (OBC) Upto 38 years of age
Widows/Divorced Women/Women judicially separated and not remarried (SC/ST) Upto 40 years of age
Disable Defence Personnel (Gen) 5 years
Disable Defence Personnel (OBC) 8 years
Disable Defence Personnel (SC/ST) 10 years
