SSC CGL 2017 exam is carried in 4 tiers. The first two tiers are computer based test while tier 3 is a written descriptive analysis and tier 4 would skill test.
There will be four sections consisting of 25 questions each in level 1. A candidate has 75 minutes to attempt 200 marks exam. SSC CGL Tier I would be held from June 19 to July 2, 2017.
Tier II comprises Different paper which consists question to assess Quantitative Abilities, English Language & Comprehension, Statistics and General Studies (Finance and Economics) of a candidate. All the papers consist of 100 questions each. For tier 2 a candidate has 2 hours while it is for 200 marks. Tier II is scheduled to be organised on September 5-8, 2017.
Tier III is a Descriptive Paper in English/Hindi consisting of Essay/ Precise/ Letter/ Application writing. The total marks allotted for the paper is 100. All selected candidates will be allotted 60 minutes to complete the paper. It is scheduled to take place on November 12, 2017.
SSC CGL 2017 Tier IV is a Skill Test and will is proposed in the month of December 2017. It is the final stage of CGL exam. The tier 4 exam is conducted to check the typing skills of the candidate for various posts. This fourth stage is also known as Data Entry Skill Test (DEST) / Computer Proficiency Test (CPT). This exam requires the applicant to press 2000 keys (correct keywords) in an hour.SSC CGL 2017 exam is carried in 4 tiers.
