SSC CGL 2018 Admit Card

The SSC has released the SSC CGL Admit Card for the candidates to download and carry it to the examination hall. You may download the region-wise SSC CGL Admit card from the respective official websites. The SSC CGL Tier I Exam is scheduled to be conducted from July 25, 2018, to August 20, 2018.

Tier 2 Exam would be scheduled to be conducted on 10th and 11th November 2018. SSC CGL Tier 3 Exam would be conducted on 21 January 2019. 

SSC CGL Admit Card can be downloaded by logging in to the official website. The candidate would require knowing the Registration number and the Password/DOB at the time of logging in.

SSC CGL 2018 Result

The results for SSC CGL will be announced on October 31, 2017.The candidates can access their results from the official website as and when the results are announced.The results for Tier I was released on 8th November 2016.Out of the 14.5 Lakh candidates who had appeared for the exam, only 1.5 lakh candidates have qualified the exam.These candidates will go on to give the Tier II exam which has major weight age.
 
The results for Tier II exam held in 2016 were declared on 28th February 2017.Only the candidates who have secured the qualifying marks will be allowed to appear for the Tier III exam.Around 35,000 candidates have qualified for the next exam.

SSC CGL 2018 Cut-Offs

Cut off means the minimum number of marks required to qualify for the next level

Since this exam is conducted in four Tiers depending on the posts who have applied for, separate cut-offs are released for each stage. Candidates who clear the cut-off in Tier I will be eligible to take the Tier-II exam and so on.

More than 15 Lakh candidates had appeared for the Tier I exam out of which only 1.5 lakh have qualified. More than 30 lakh applications have been received for the SSC-CGL exam Tier 1.

FAQs

1) Can you apply for SSC CGL without a graduation?

You can apply for SSC CGL on completion of your graduation requirements by 1 January 2018.

2) Can a candidate apply for more than a post?

If a candidate fulfills the SSC CGL eligibility criteria for the posts that he applies to, definitely he can.

3) Why should a candidate fill three different centers for taking the exam?

In the event, your first choice cannot be allotted, one of the other two locations of your preference would be selected.

4) Is a candidate supposed to choose all the group of posts in the application form?

A candidate is expected to select a group of posts based on his preference. Once you choose groups, you can select the post once you qualify Tier 3 Examinations.

5) Can Diploma Holders apply for SSC CGL exam?

Only Bachelor degree holders can apply for SSC CGL.

6) What is the meaning of applications being accepted provisionally?

All the applications are provisionally accepted as soon as you register. This is also because you do not submit the necessary documents at the time of online application procedure. The document verification stage occurs at the time you qualify the exam. If all the documents are valid, the candidate would be accepted.

7) Is there any percentage criteria to apply for SSC CGL Examination?

There are no percentage criteria to apply for SSC CGL Examination. The candidate must make sure that the other SSC CGL Eligibility criteria are passed. 

8) If a candidate is in the last semester/last year of college? Can he apply?

If the final result has been declared before 1st August 2018, the candidate is eligible. 

9) Can the application form be filled online?

The SSC CGL Application Form can be filled only online. 

10) Is Aadhaar Card mandatory to fill SSC CGL Examination?

It is not mandatory to possess Aadhaar Card to register for SSC CGL Examination.
