XAT 2018 was conducted on January 7, 2018, for admission to Business Management and Human Resource Management Programmes of XLRI. XAT score is also used by institutes of repute such as SP Jain, IMT Ghaziabad, XIM Bhubaneshwar and GIM Goa.
XAT was conducted in the Computer-Based mode this year. The XAT Examination was administered well across a few centers, the experience of quite a lot of people have not been smooth. This was mostly due to technical glitches, the test had not begun at a couple of centers.
At quite a lot of centers, students faced problems due to exam application, shutting down owing to which the test had not started at a couple of centers. Multiple restarts were a problem for some students as well, because of which students had to retype their essay completely.
XAT Authorities have conveyed to students who have been unable to take the test about rescheduling.
The Expected Cutoff this year is as follows:

A lot of issues about the conduct of XAT 2018 have been posted on Social Media Platforms. The exam inconveniences experienced by the candidates had been shared by them. XAT was held online for the first time and the connectivity issues have stood out to be the main reason for the disappointment expressed by students. Kolkata and Gurgaon have been the two exam centers wherein reexamination is slated to be conducted.
For XAT 2018, XLRI had partnered with SIFY to handle the examination. Candidates were supposed to be allowed 170 mins for the first part of XAT 2018 and 40 minutes for the second part with an access to the on-screen calculator.
