As per the official announcement, the application for XAT has started on August 16, 2017, and would be ending on November 30, 2017. The XAT exam would be held on January 7, 2018. Xavier School of Management would be conducting the test on behalf of XAMI. The registration procedure as detailed below would be entirely online.
However, prior to going over the application, all the aspirants must check the XAT eligibility conditions. The following are detailed below:

Candidates should be graduates from any recognized institution or university.

The course should be for at least a time of 3 years.

Final year graduation students are eligible to apply given that they complete the course by June 2018.

NRI and foreign candidates can apply using their GMAT scores. However, those candidates belonging to Dubai or Kathmandu can apply through XAT as well.
The Application fee details are as follows
XAT 2018 Application fee - INR 1650 (INR 300 per XLRI course)
XAT 2018 Late application fee - INR 2000 ( INR 500 per XLRI course)
Applicants can make payment through three modes:
Online - This would be by way of Credit/Debit or Net Banking.
Cash - A printout of XAT pay-in slip is required to be taken and IDBI Branch can be visited to make payment in cash.
DD - The Demand Draft is needed to be made in favor of "XLRI Jamshedpur A/C XAT'' payable at Bhubhaneshwar.
The applicants who make payment through cash/DD are required to update the payment details on their registration page. Failure to do so may disable them from uploading their photograph and signature.
XAT Application procedure:
The application procedure explained in concise is as below.

You may have to visit the official page of XAT.

Click to register and to create a new account using an email address to get XAT id and link to begin the registration procedure.

Create your password on the link and keep it secure for all purposes in the future.

Once logged in, the preferred exam city needs to be chosen from the list of exam cities.

Enter your name, upload your photo and signature.

The next step includes selecting your citizenship (Indian/Foreign/NRI) also choosing from interested XLRI Programs like Business Management, Human Resource Management, and General Management.

You can fill preliminary and important information like name, DOB, Gender, Parent's name, Category name and contact details.

Educational qualification needs to be completely detailed.

Complete Work Experience details need to be provided. Candidates who apply for GMP should have at least 5 years of Work experience as on 31 May 2018.

The fee payment as per particulars indicated above needs to be paid.

A printout of the Application confirmation page needs to be taken once the application form filling procedure is completed.
XAT scores are slated to be accepted by around 140 B schools all over India. If the candidates are interested in applying to any Institute apart from XAT, they have to apply on the respective institute's official website.The admit card would be available from the third week of December. About 1 Lakh candidates are expected to write XAT this session.
