In order to organize UPTET, The Education Department is unable to book an Examination Center in the capital city of Delhi. All large examination centers have booked for other major examinations. For certain examination centers, where the time has already expired, the consent letter has not been received by the department.
The UPTET 2017 would be held on 15 October for which about 35,000 candidates have registered to appear for the exam. 26,000 candidates have registered for junior while 9500 candidates have registered for the senior level.More than 50 examination centers in the capital city would be required to accommodate such a high number.
About 400-500 candidates would be allocated to every examination center. The last date for sending the list of examination centers in Allahabad was on September 18, with lack of enough schools, the final list of test centers could not be sent by the Department.
Students can sit in Queen Angles, Aminabad Inter College, Sentinel Inter College which is booked for IB Examination. About 15 schools have already been made the center while the District School Inspector is responsible for finalizing the exam centers.
State Government schools and aided schools alone can serve as UPTET Test Centers. A lot of all women colleges have refused to serve as exam centers for the examination.
The UPTET would be held on Sunday, and a lot of women professors have declined to serve as the examiners for UPTET, hence the examination cannot be held in their colleges. Getting consent letters from areas that have been approached is seeming very tough.
UPTET Exam is held for the Teachers for Grades 1 to 5 and Grades 6-8. Candidates can apply for the same from August 25, 2017, until September 8, 2017. The UPTET is based on a curriculum that has been set in place for the candidates with degrees such as BA, B.Sc and B.com.
