UPSEE Date postponed to April 29, 2018

Dr APJ Abdul Kalam University, Uttar Pradesh postponed the examination dates for Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination. The examination shall be conducted in the last week of April and in the initial week of May 2018. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam University scheduled the exam two weeks prior to the current schedule and the dates seem to have been postponed for the reasons known.
Some of the speculations raised are that owing to the JEE Main Examination date, the UPSEE Dates have been postponed. The entrance exam for B.tech and other professional bachelor degree programs scheduled earlier on April 15, 2018, would now be conducted on April 29, 2018. The entrance examination for postgraduate courses scheduled earlier on April 21 and 22, would now be conducted on May 5 and 6, 2018.
In the official notice issued, the University seems to have requested institutes and colleges in the state to not schedule any semester/competitive examination/entrance examination on the mentioned dates.
UPSEE is a state level entrance examination that is conducted for admission into colleges affiliated to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam University. The UPSEE online examination application would begin in the month of January 2018. The question paper would be objective in nature and for every correct response, a candidate would be awarded 4 marks. There would be no negative marking for an incorrect response.
UPSEE Examination would be held on April 29, May 5 and May 6. The exam similar to every year would be organized for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered by colleges in Uttar Pradesh. The Undergraduate Programs to which admission shall be made on the basis of State Entrance Examination are B.tech, B.Pharma, BFAD, BFA and the list of postgraduate programs include MBA, MCA apart from lateral entry inclusive of the second year of B.Tech, B.Pharm and MCA.
Official Notification and the UPSEE Application Form is expected to be released in the midst of January.
A lot of aspirants face two battles - one being the entrance exams and the other being Board Exams/Semester Exams. It is always not easy to juggle demands of entrance/board/semester examination. However, with good skills for time management and management of study schedules, the exam can be cracked well. The real competition has always been to secure a seat in the top ten colleges.
Students have a complete period of 4 months to prepare for the examination. The candidates can go through theory as well as practice questions. UPSEE would be Multiple Choice Based Examination, the candidates would have to practice at least previous year question papers dating back up to 10-15 years.
