UPSC Civil Services 2018 Prelims Exam Date Released!!

UPSC which conducts the prestigious Civil Services exam for the recruitment to the coveted posts like IAS (Indian Administrative Services), IPS (Indian Police Services), IFS (Indian Foreign Services), IRS (Indian Revenue Services) among others has released the date of the IAS Prelims 2018 exam.
 
The UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2018 exam is scheduled on 3rd June 2018 by the Commission. The UPSC will release the Civil Services 2018 exam notification on 7th February. The last date to fill the Civil Services Online application form is 6th March 2018 as per the UPSC records. Till the year 2016, the UPSC Civil Services Prelims exam was conducted in the month of August but, since the year 2017, UPSC has changed the trend of the exam and started to conduct the Prelims exam in the month of June. In 2017 also UPSC has conducted the IAS Prelims exam on 18th June.
 
UPSC Civil Services 2018 prelims exam will be of qualifying nature, and the selected candidates will be eligible to appear in the UPSC Civil Services Mains 2018. The IAS Mains 2018 is expected to be conducted in the month of October 2018. The total vacancies for UPSC Civil Services 2018 are expected to be around 1000 which will include seats of both Reserved and Unreserved category candidates. The exact number of vacancies for Civil Services 2018 exam will only be known after the release of the official notification by the UPSC. The total seats in UPSC Civil Services 2017 are approximately 980 which includes 27 reserved vacancies for physically challenged candidates.
