UGC NET 2018: Admit Card Released

The UGC NET 2018 Admit cards have been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The candidates who have registered for the examination must visit the official website of National Eligibility Test at cbsenet.nic.in to download the Admit Card. The UGC NET examination is scheduled to be conducted on July 8, 2018.

Steps to Download UGC NET Admit Card: 

  1. Visit the official website of NET at cbsenet.nic.in
  2. Click on the link ‘Login for Admit Card and Image Correction – NET July 2018'
  3. Provide your Application Number and Password
  4. UGC NET Admit Card will appear on the screen
  5. Download it and take a printout for further reference

Details mentioned on Admit Card:

  • Candidate's Name
  • Roll Number
  • Date of Examination
  • Time of Examination
  • Venue of Examination
  • Instructions

The candidate must carry the Admit Card to the examination centre on the day of examination

The candidates who qualify the examination for NET will be eligible for the post of Assistant Professor whereas the candidates who qualify for JRF will be awarded Junior Research Fellowship by the University Grant Commission along with being eligible for the post of Assistant Professor.

The Board has introduced few changes from the current year. The changes are as following:

  • The Upper Age Limit to appear for UGC NET examination has been raised to 30 years. Earlier the same was 28 years.
  • From this year, there would be only 2 papers in the examination, that is Paper I and Paper II. Earlier the UGC NET examination comprised of 3 papers.

The National Eligibility Test known as NET is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), on behalf of the University Grant Commission (UGC). The examination is conducted twice a year. The candidates are selected for Assistant Professor or JRF and Assistant Professor both, through this examination.
