SSC Postpones CGL Tier 3 Examination

After conducting a re-examination of CGL (Combined Gratitude Level) Tier 2 examination on February 17 and 21, 2018 the SSC (Staff Selection Commission) has decided to postpone the Tier 3 Examination. This paper was supposed to be conducted on March 31, 2018 but now it is postponed to May 2018. The scheduled date is yet not notified of this descriptive paper.
Thousand of aspirants had been protesting against SSC CGL paper leak and also demanded the Central Government grant permissions for CBI probe in this matter. Two Paper chits allegedly containing some answer keys of Paper 1 i.e. the Quantitative Aptitude Test was circulated in the social media before the exam. Due to such outrage among students the CGL 2018 Notification which was expected to be released in the month of April, is likely to be delayed.
Already CGL 2016 candidates have been complaining that they have yet not received the appointment letters. Almost 11 thousand candidates, who successfully qualified this examination were put on hold because numerous candidates who failed to clear that attempt, filed an application in court claiming that their papers were not checked properly. Defending itself, the commission said that it is the User Department's concern to expedite the issuance of the appointment letters.
About SSC CGL:
SSC CGL is an Examination conducted by Staff Selection Commission to recruit staff for various posts in Ministries, Departments and Organizations of the Government of India. The SSC was established in 1975. This Examination comprises of Preliminary Examination and Main Examination. Earlier interviews were also conducted apart from these two examinations but following the Governments order, Interviews have been dispensed off for all the non-gazette posts in the Central Government. A computer proficiency test is also conducted for some posts.
