Staff Selection Commission of the Indian Government has notified for the Combined Higher Secondary Level for recruitment in various posts across the Government Departments and Ministries such as Postal Assistant or Sorting Assistant in various post offices across India. There are about 4000+vacancies for aspirants who want to clear the examination and join.
Salary is an important aspect of this job wherein if a candidate gets salary matching the job he does, he would have mental satisfaction. The salary details are as explained as follows:
- Postal Assistants: With a Grade Pay of INR 2400, with a pay band of INR 5200 to 20200. The gross salary for this post would be set at INR 26,000 with INR 23,500 remaining after deductions.
- LDC: With a pay band of INR 5200 to 20200, it has a grade pay of INR 1900 with a gross salary of INR 20000 and INR 18000 in hand.
- Data Entry Operator: With two Grade Pay Scales one INR 1900 and other INR 2400, the gross salary is INR 20,000 to 26,000.
- Court Clerk: Gross salary of a Court Clerk would be INR 18,000 to 20,000.
SSC CHSL: Promotion and Career Growth:
- Sorting Assistant < MACP I, II and III or Chief Postmaster (Grade A)

SSC CHSL is a good career choice for candidates who have just passed school as they get placed immediately after the examination. The Tier 3 exam of SSC CHSL has been scheduled for the month of November and the results for SSC CHSL session 2016-17 is slated to be declared in the month of December.
