SSC CGL Tier 2 : Keep these in mind at the time of preparation

With the SSC CGL Dates coming around the corner, it is very important that candidates prepare for the examination in a wise manner. As always said, a person becomes most productive at the last minute. Here is a brief study plan that would help a student with last minute preparations. The candidate would be required to include as many full-length mock tests towards the end of preparation in order to have some improvement in his/her performance.

SSC CGL: Some important topics to focus on are as follows:

QA: Candidates should be focusing more on Geometry and Mensuration apart from Algebra and Trigonometry. With the past trend in mind, the following topics would be covering almost 50% of the section. Candidates would also have a need to avoid any other books apart from NCERT Grade 7 to 10. Mock Test practice would help but candidates should also learn their tables to improve their calculation speed. 

English: The candidates should focus on Sentence Correction, Phrases and Idioms, Reading Comprehension, Antonyms/Synonyms and one-word substitution.In order to improve grammar, the candidates should read English Newspapers and periodicals for 2-3 hours every day. Books like Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis and High School Grammar by Wren and Martin would help candidates improve their skills. 

Statistics: This subject is only for those candidates who have applied for the post of Statistical Investigator. The candidates should have a major focus on probability theory, variance analysis, measures of central tendency and sampling theory. The candidates at this time should make a short note of important formulae and revise them from time to time. Also, give time to candidates revise topics from Grade 10 and 12 books. 

General Studies: Apart from Economics and Governance, an SSC CGL Aspirant should have a focus on finance and accounts. The candidate should keep himself updated on government announcements, budget 2018 and facts from the government gazette. 

The SSC CGL Tier 2 examination would be held from February 17 to 22, 2018. With less than a week at hand, the candidates must keep calm and prepare in an optimum manner. Earlier the Tier 2 exam of SSC CGL was scheduled from 18th January to 20th January 2018. SSC CGL Tier 3 Examination is scheduled on 31 March 2018. 

SSC CGL Tier 1 Result was released on 30th October 2017. In the recent, SSC had revised SSC CGL Tier 1 Result after encountering a few technical issues. The new Result and cutoff declared seem to have come as a fresh breeze to the SSC CGL Contestants. 

The SSC CGL Cutoff was released after the SSC CGL Tier 1 Result was declared by SSC on 30th October 2017.
