SSC CGL 2018: Online applications start from April 21

According to the latest notification released by the Staff Selection Commission of India, the online applications for SSC CGL 2018 will start from April 21, 2018. The candidates aspiring to appear for SSC CGL 2018 can apply for this examination until May 25, 2018, on the official website of SSC i.e. ssc.nic.in

The SSC CGL Examination is conducted every year for the recruitment to several posts in Ministries, Government Organizations and Government Departments such as Assistants in Ministries, Inspectors of Central Excise and customs, Inspectors of Income Tax, preventive officers in income tax, Examiner in Customs, Sub-Inspectors in CBI and Narcotics Department, Assistant Enforcement Officer in ED, Divisional Accountant and Junior Accountant in various Government Departments, Auditor Offices under CGA and others, Tax Assistant in CBDT and many more. The Staff Selection Commission has released the important dates regarding SSC CGL 2018.

Instructions to fill SSC CGL 2018 Application Form:

  1. The online application form will be available on the official website of SSC i.e. http://ssc.nic.in.
  2. Select the Apply Online link available on the homes page.
  3. Read all the important instructions provided on the website, before filling the application form.
  4. Provide the mandatory fields in the application form.
  5. Upload the scanned passport size photograph and signature according to the prescribed format.
  6. Submit the form and take a printout for future reference.

Every year nearly 30 Lakh candidates apply for the examination out of which almost 15 to 20 Lakh candidates appear for the examination. The finally shortlisted candidates get the opportunity to work in various Government Departments.

The SSC CGL Examination comprises of four-levels of examinations i.e. Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 and Tier 4. The first two exams will carry Multiple Choice Questions whereas Tier 3 examination will be Descriptive and Tier 4 examination will test the skills of the candidate.
