SBI PO 2018: Nearly 10 Lakh Candidates Applied

SBI PO recruitment examination is scheduled to be conducted on July 1, July 7 and July 8, 2018. The online application process of SBI PO ended on May 13 and according to the notification this year, nearly 10 Lakh aspirants applied for the post of 2,000 Probationary Officers (PO).

SBI is already in the action of recruiting 8,300 posts for which 16.6 Lakh Applicants registered

According to the Bank Officials, 70% of the candidates are Engineering & Management Graduates and Post Graduates

However, the qualification required for the post of Probationary Officer's is Graduation but most of the candidates with higher qualification have applied for the post. The Bank Official claims that as the State Bank of India Probationary Officer position is attained after the process of Written Examination, Interview and Group Discussion; the candidate needs to pass all these stages to secure a position.

SBI PO 2018 Eligibility Criteria:

  • The Candidate must be a Graduate of any stream from a University recognized by the Government of India.
  • The Candidate must have the knowledge of computer operation.
  • The Candidate must be proficient in the official language of the State.
  • The age of the candidate must be between 21 years to 30 years. A relaxation of 5 years will be provided to the candidates of Scheduled Caste and scheduled Tribe. The same of 3 years will be provided to the candidates of OBC-Non-Creamy Layer. The candidates of PwD Category will be provided a relaxation of 10 years
