Result of CSIR NET 2018 for June Session announced

Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has announced result for June session of CSIR UGC NET 2018. The result was released on the official website csirhrdg.res.in yesterday i.e. November 28, 2018. Candidates who have taken the UGC NET 2018 examination earlier this year on June 17, 2018, can visit the official website and download the result in pdf format.

UGC-NET-Result UGC NET 2018 Result is declared in the order of the ranks scored and respective roll numbers of the candidates who qualified for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) which will further determine their eligibility NET Lectureship. As per the data in the announced CSIR UGC NET 2018 Result (June Session), 7306 of total students have qualified the examination. Candidate can check their result on the official website by entering their roll number and date of birth followed by a captcha at the login page. Candidate should note that the result will only be available online and the candidate will not be sent a hard copy of the same.

Council of Scientific and Industrial Research released separate merit lists for NET and JRF NET. Candidates will only be eligible for NET Lectureship if he or she qualifies JRF NET.

The authority will release the cutoff list of CSIR UGC NET soon as the result has already been declared. For both JRF-NET and NET Lectureship, two cut off the list will be released as category wise and subject wise. Candidates whose score will fall within the limit and have more score than the minimum cutoff marks will be eligible for NET-Lectureship and can also apply for Joint CSIR UGC Test as JRF.

Talking about last year the minimum qualifying marks General category, as well as OBC category, was 33%, whereas for candidates applied through reserved category minimum qualifying marks was 25% in both fellowship and lectureship.

For June session of CSIR UGC NET 2018, a total of 3973 candidates have qualified the CSIR JRF (NET) out of which only 87 qualified for JRF. In JRF (NET) UGC a total of 1500 candidates have qualified the examination and 4409 candidates, qualified NET Lectureship. The exam was conducted in offline mode consisting of subjects like Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Ocean, earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences.

Fellowship for candidates qualified JRF-NET will be effective from January 1, 2019, and will be valid for 2 years to join the fellowship under CSIR.  The stipend allocated to JRF selected through CSIR UGC NET will be Rs.25,000 per month for the first two years. University and Institutions will also receive an annual amount of Rs.20,000 per fellow.

CSIR has also released the notification regarding CSIR UGC NET 2018 December session on September 19. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on December 16, 2018.
