Study Material

A good study material covers all the essential topics that are going to contribute in exam pattern. The question paper consists of three sections namely Verbal Ability and Reasoning Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Ability. All the questions roam around these three topics and a firm grip on these topics would certainly be helpful. Following are the topics the study material should cover:

  • Quantitative Ability

It comes out to be the most dreaded section for those who have not studied Mathematics as main subject in their graduation and it obviously is the most preferred for students with Engineering background. This section generally analyses the quantitative skills an aspirant possesses.

  • Data Interpretation

Data are the most vital aspect for the administration of the business. Data interpretation mainly deals with the features that help in interpreting the data received or obtained from various sources. It is not only crucial but critical as well.

  • Verbal Ability

It is one of the factors that contribute to the admission procedure. Communication is one of the most important features of business and this is the reason CAT aspirants are examined for their Language Skills, Grammar, Vocabulary, and Reading Comprehension in this section.

It is very important to have excellent language skills in order to crack the verbal ability section.

  • Logical Reasoning

This section consists of several hypothetical situations that need logical assistance and reasoning. The types of questions asked in Logical Reasoning section leave students perplexed. The answer derived by the students may sometimes look correct but it is not.
