Para-jumbles and the least discussed Verbal Section

Para-jumbles are tough on the face of it because you don’t have options to choose from. They usually require strategies of the following types:

· Identifying sentences that are the beginning of a content or the ending ones.

· Determining positioning of the other sentences in relation to the ones obvious or evident.

· A keen eye for a small sequence of phrases or sentences that are inter-connected and save time on connecting the rest of the sentences.

· Just understand the summary of a set of sentences and eliminate the ones that do not agree with the core message.

Do not get overwhelmed and just go with the flow of the question as this might land you into a state of confusion and a waste of time. The verbal section as such seems to be undermined with a presupposition that anyone good at language and having a good command over it can easily do it well. But questions like reading comprehension which are time-consuming and tricky in terms of approach require practice and simple techniques in mind that might come handy at the time of handling a question of an advanced difficulty level.

So make sure, when you attempt NMAT, you don’t focus only on sections like data interpretation and quantitative, and make a justified attempt at maximizing your score in this section.
