CLAT 2017 is a PAN-India entrance examination, conducted on rotation by 17 National Law Universities (NLUs) for admissions to five-year integrated Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law (BALLB) and one-year Master of Law (LLM) program.
The registration are open until 31st March 2017, and the exam is on 14th May 2017, aspiring students who are getting ready for all this important exam should check the paper pattern below:
CLAT exam consist of 200 MCQquestions which a wide spectrum of topics and covers almost everything such as English, general knowledge and current affairs, elementary mathematics and legal aptitude
The test will be of 200 marks and candidate will get two hours to complete the exam.
Detailed Syllabus
English:
This section will test the candidates' proficiency in English based on comprehension passages and grammar. In the comprehension section, question will be on the understanding of candidate about the passage and its central theme, meanings of words used therein, etc
The grammar section requires correction of incorrect grammatical sentences, filling of blanks on sentences with appropriate words.
General knowledge:
This section will test candidates general awareness including static general knowledge. Also, questions on current national and international current affairs.
Mathematics:
This part will include elementary mathematics, i.e. maths taught up to Class 10
Legal Aptitude:
The topics will include study of law, research aptitude, and problem-solving ability. The candidates will be asked legal propositions and a set of facts to which the said proposition has to be applied.
Logical reasoning:
It may include a variety of logical reasoning questions such as syllogisms, logical sequences, analogies, etc. However, visual thinking will not be tested.
