NTA Revises JEE Main 2023 Exam Dates for Session 1 (January). Check Revised Dates!

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the JEE Main Date. The exam was scheduled to be conducted on January 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31, 2023. According to the revised dates of JEE Main 2023 Exam, it will now be conducted on January 24, 25, 28 (only second shift), 29, 30, 31, 2023 and February 1, 2023. The exam that was scheduled to be conducted on 27 January has now been shifted to February 1 and only second shift exam on 28 January will take place.  

On January 18, 2023, the NTA also published the exam city intimation slip for the test on the official website. Exam city intimation slip is different from Admit Card. It will only consist of information about the city where their exam centres will be located. While, the JEE Main Admit Card will consist of details such as exam centre name, exam date and time of the Joint Entrance Examination Main.

  • Once released, candidates can download their respective JEE Main 2023 Admit Card from the official website using their JEE Main login credentials i.e. JEE Main Application Number and Date of Birth.
  • JEE Main 2023 will be conducted across the country in 290 cities.

The official notice released by the NTA reads,

“National Testing Agency is conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – 2023 Session 1 at different centres located in 290 cities throughout the country and 25 Cities outside India on 24, 25, 29, 30, 31 January and 1 February 2023 for B.E./B. Tech (Paper I, Shift 1st & Shift 2nd) and 28 January (2nd Shift only) for B. Arch and B. Planning (Paper 2A & Paper 2B)."

Besides, JEE Main 2023 Mock Test has also been made available on the mobile application ‘National Test Abhyas’ in order to prepare for the exam. Candidates who have registered themselves for the exam and planned to appear in the exam can access this free JEE Main Mock Test on the mobile application.

JEE Main 2023 is scheduled to be conducted in two sessions i.e. Session 1 in January and Session 2 in April. The B.E. and B. Tech papers are JEE Main Paper 1, and the B. Arch and B. Planning papers will be conducted as Paper 2A and Paper 2B respectively.
