NTA Extends JEE Main 2020 Application Window for J&K Students

The National Testing Agency shortened as NTA has extended the date of application for JEE Main Exam for the students of Jammu & Kashmir. Students hailing from Jammu & Kashmir who missed out on registering themselves for JEE Main 2020 January exam can now fill the application form for the exam scheduled to be conducted in the month of January 2020. The application window opened on 4th November 2019 and is yet to close.

JEE Main 2020 application window closes on 8th November 2019

Since the window is opened only for 5 days, students are advised to complete the registration process along with application form filling and application fee payment by 8th November 2019 as the window will no longer be available after the assigned time slot.

JEE Main 2020

JEE Main 2020 Exam is scheduled to be conducted from 6th January 2020 to 11th January 2020 and it will be a computer based test conducted online. As per the notification released by NTA and other sources about JEE Main 2020, the JEE Main Admit Card would be made available from 6th December 2019 and it can be downloaded from the official website of JEE Main.

The examination conducting authority of JEE Main used to be CBSE which has now been changed to NTA, NTA introduces a few changes in JEE Main Exam Pattern this year. Students planning to take exam for B. Planning courses must know that there would be a separate exam conducted for such courses. Candidates must choose carefully as to what paper they wish to appear for while filling the application form.

Changes Introduced in JEE Main 2020 Exam

  • Separate exam for B. Arch and B. Planning Courses.
    • Paper 1 is for admission to B. E. and B. Tech.
    • Paper 2 is for admission to B. Arch.
    • Paper 3 is for admission to B.Planning courses.
  • JEE Main Question Paper will be made available in three different languages namely Hindi, English, and Gujarati.

The exam used to be conducted yearly which has now been changes to twice a year i.e. in the month of January and April.

It is for the benefit of students willing to appear for JEE Main Exam. In case students miss out on applying for the exam scheduled for January 2020 can still apply and appear for exam in the month of April.

If a student appears in both the exams, the better of the two score would be considered for admission and counseling procedure.
