JEE Main 2020 – The National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to let students choose exam city for JEE Main 2020 as per their convenience. The notice was published on the official website of JEE Main i.e. jeemain.nta.nic.in for students who have registered themselves for JEE Main 2020 Exam that was scheduled to be conducted in April 2020 and now has been postponed. The applicants can make corrections in their duly filled application forms and include their choices of cities for examination center of JEE Main 2020.
The last date to correct choice of cities for examination center is 14th April 2020
The minister of Human Resource Development (HRD), Ramesh Pokhriyal ’Nishank’ recently posted on twitter:
"JEE (Main) 2020 applicants, in the view of current #COVID 19 situation, I have advised @DG_NTA to further expand the scope of making corrections in application forms allowing students to include the choice of cities for centers.”
It is clear that the measures have been taken in order to prevent the spread of Coronavirus amongst students. The number of people being infected from Coronavirus is rapidly increasing and COVID-19 outbreak has even led to national lockdown.
How to Make Changes in Exam Center Cities?
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has ensured to make efforts of allotment of examination city to the JEE Main Aspirants as per the choices now opted by them in JEE Main 2020 Application Form. Candidates must notice that this entire procedure is subject to the availability seats in the desired examination center. Candidates may also be allotted different city due to the administrative reasons and they must know that the final allotment of center decided by NTA shall be considered final.
It is to bring this to students’ attention that this facility for making changes in choice of cities for exam center can only be concluded through online mode i.e. in the Online Application Form.
The Online Application Form has been made operational on the official website of JEE Main i.e. jeemain.nta.nic.in and candidates can make changes up to 14th April 2020 and can also verify their particulars and make required changes wherever required.
Candidates can make correction in Online Application Form up to 5:00 PM and process the payment of fees up to 11:50 PM.
