NMAT by GMAC has already begun and the examination would be conducted for the next 3 months until December 18, 2017. NMAT by GMAC is accepted by close to 100 institutes all over the country gaining increased acceptance.
The following guidelines are required to be kept in mind by students:

The students would be required to reach at least 45 minutes in advance of the examination.

The documents that were required to be carried were: Admit card, Confirmation Mail, Xerox copies of your Primary and Secondary ID along with the originals

Admit Card would be acknowledged once a candidate appears for the exam.

The NMAT Admit Card is required to be retained by the students for future purposes

Lockers would be provided to students to store their belongings and the students would be allowed 15 minutes before the test begins.

Along with the assigned system, the candidate would be given a marker, 6 transparency sheets and earplugs.

Once the candidate starts on the computer, a tutorial video explaining the test screen interface along with the buttons and options on the screen.

The students would be required to go through the same in detail before attempting the exam.

Quantitative Aptitude
The QA section has about 48 questions required to be done in 1 hour. The 48 sections were divided into 20 questions consisting of 5 sets and 4 questions each. The topics that were tested were – Percentages, Profit and Loss, CI &SI, Time and Work, HCF/LCM, TSD, Mensuration, Probability and Equations.
The Data sufficiency section tested on the following parameters: Geometry, Numbers, AP and GP apart from Probability. The DI questions were said to be very calculation intensive wherein 3 out 5 sets were set to be optimally easy. Attempting about 30 questions was considered ideal and the cutoff of this section was expected to be set at 75 marks.
Language
The Language section had about 32 questions with 2 Reading Comprehension Passages having 4 questions each. One passage was given on Literature and the other on tourism. The Reading Comprehension Passages are recommended to be attempted after completing the entire paper. The following topics were tested in the Language Section – Prepositions, Synonyms and Antonym, Para Jumble, Error Spotting, Vocabulary, Analogy and Cloze tests.
Overall, this section was easy for a candidate who had worked hard on practice and honing his language skills accordingly. The cutoff for this section is expected to be between 51-55 marks.
Logical Reasoning
The Logical Reasoning Section is known to be toughest in the paper with 40 questions that need to be solved in 38 minutes. The following topics were tested in the paper – Venn Diagram, Number Puzzles, Number Series, Equations Based and Set Theory. Students can attempt as much as 25 questions to score the desired cutoff of 63-66.
