NEET 2018 Result has been announced by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on the official website of NEET i.e. neet.nic.in. The candidates who appeared for NEET 2018 can access their result at cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in also. The result has been declared according to the qualifying criteria prescribed by the Medical Council of India. There has been a fall in the basic cut off in NEET 2018 as compared to the previous year. Last year nearly 6.11 Lakh candidates cleared the examination. However, this year the number has increased to 7.14 Lakh.

Almost 6.34 Lakh candidates of General Category qualified the examination, followed by 54 thousand candidates of OBC Category and 17 thousand and 7 thousand candidates of SC and ST Category respectively.

The Cut Off for the candidates of General category is 691 to 119, whereas the same for the candidates of Reserved category is 118 to 96.

NEET 2018 Toppers:
This year Kalpana Kumari of Bihar topped the NEET 2018 examination by scoring 691 marks out of 720, followed by Rohan Purohit of Telangana and Himanshu Sharma of Delhi who scored 690 marks.

The fall in the NEET 2018 Cut Off may not be good news for the candidates as this year more than 13 Lakh candidates appeared for NEET examination which was conducted on May 6, 2018. More number of candidates qualified NEET 2018 examination due to fall in the Cut Off.
NEET 2018 Counselling is scheduled to be conducted from June 12, 2018
NEET Counselling will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for 15 percent All Indian Quota Seats, Deemed University/ Central University/ Seats of ESIC & AFMC including BHU & AMU. The State Counselling for 85 percent State Quota candidates will be conducted by the states separately.
