NEET 2018: Required for Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry and Ayush

According to the notification released by Veterinary Council of India (VCI), the NEET Merit List will be considered for admissions to Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BV Sc & AH) Courses offered by recognized colleges and institutes for the academic year 2018.

NEET 2018 Format Changed

The Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy) also released a notification earlier according to which the NEET examination will be considered for admissions. The notification notifies,“The step has been taken to ensure that meritorious students come to the AYUSH streams.” The ministry already started considering NEET examination for Post Graduate degree courses since last year.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination (NEET) is scheduled to be conducted on May 6, 2018 by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) at various centres across the country. The Admit Cards for the same was released on April 17, 2018 and the candidates must download the Admit Card and take a print out as it is mandatorily required to be carried to the examination centre on the date of examination. The Board has also notified a strict dress code for all the candidates appearing for the examination.

According to a judgment issued by Delhi High Court, all the aspirants including students of Open Schools and NIOS are also eligible for NEET 2018 and there is no upper age limit for the examination. The Board is also notified by the Madras High Court regarding re-allotment of the examination centre for the candidates of Tamil Nadu who have been allotted examination centres outside the state of Tamil Nadu.
