Almost 13 Lakh candidates have registered themselves to appear for NEET 2018 Examination, which is scheduled to be conducted on May 6, 2018. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination is a common entrance examination conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admissions to various undergraduate medical and dental courses in numerous government and private colleges of India. This year the registrations of NEET examination for the academic year 2018 is nearly two lakhs more than the previous year. The competition level will be tougher this year due to the increased number of registrations.

NEET examination was introduced from the academic year 2013 and since then every year the registration percentage is consistently increasing. Earlier the candidates had to appear for entrance examination conducted by States individually but NEET provides a common platform for all the candidates who aspire to seek their career in the medical field as most of the state governments have declared NEET examination mandatory for admission in medical courses.

NEET 2018 Admit Cards/Hall Tickets were released by the Board on April 18, 2018, and the notification regarding the Dress Code was released yesterday i.e. April 19, 2018, on the official website of NEET i.e. cbseneet.nic.in. The examination will be conducted from 10 AM to 1 PM on May 6, 2018, at numerous centres in English, Hindi, Urdu and 8 regional languages. The Candidates must carry their admit card along with a recent passport size photograph.
