According to the latest statement released by the Ministry of Health and Family, the registration of candidates for the first round of counselling for Post Graduate seats is extended till March 26, 2018. The Health Ministry Official said, “This has been done due to some technical issues with the software because of which the candidates were facing problems in the choices for selection of colleges and courses they want to opt for.” Earlier in the month of February, the Medical Counselling Committee released the online counselling schedule for Post Graduate seats i.e. MD and MS.
The Medical Counselling Committee i.e. MCC will be conducting Counselling according to the merit of PG NEET 2018, for 50 percent of the total seats of All India Quota seats for numerous State Government Colleges and Dental Colleges & Institutions, except for the State of Jammu & Kashmir and for all the Post Graduate seats of Deemed Universities.
The Committee is also responsible for conducting Counselling for 50 percent Institutional Quota Seats for Central Universities of Delhi University, Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University and Institutes of Armed Forces Medical Services.

The National Board of Examination i.e. NBE is an Autonomous board which was established in 1975 at New Delhi, under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The Board was established with the aim of standardizing Post Graduate Medical Education and Examination in the country. The National Board of Examination conducts NEET PG Entrance Exam every year and the screening test is governed by screening test regulations which is notified by Medical Council of India with prior approvals from the Central Government and the Judgements of the Supreme Court of India. The NEET 2018 for the Post Graduate candidates was held on January 7, 2018 and later in the month of February, the results were declared.
