NEET Counseling 2018: Round 1 Registration Starts Today

The NEET 2018 Counseling registrations for Round 1 is scheduled to start today. The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC)released the NEET Counseling schedule yesterday. According to the schedule, the Round 1 registration for NEET Counseling starts today. Earlier on June 4, 2018, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the NEET Result for the academic year 2018. 

The candidates who qualified NEET 2018 by obtaining minimum qualifying percentile will be eligible for the Counseling. The minimum qualifying marks for the candidate of general category is 50 percentile. Whereas the same for candidates of SC/ST/OBC category is 40 percentile. The candidates of Physically Handicapped category must possess a minimum of 45 percentile.

Counseling Schedule for Round 1:

  • Online Registration and Choice Filling: From June 13, 2018 to June 18, 2018
  • Last Date of Fee Payment: June 19, 2018
  • Choice Filling & Locking: June 19, 2018 (From 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
  • Seat Allotment: June 20, 2018 to June 21, 2018
  • Counselling Result: June 22, 2018
  • Reporting: From June 23, 2018 to July 3, 2018

Steps to Register for NEET 2018 Counseling:

Step 1: Visit the official website of Medical Counseling Committee at mcc.nic.in

Step 2: Three options will be available on the home page, as shown below

Step 4: A new page will appear, as shown below

Step 5: Proceed towards the Online Registration procedure

The Seat Matrix for the Round 1 of Counseling has also been displayed on the website. The seat matrix is divided into 7 categories. The candidate can select a category and check the availability of seats from the categories shown below:

Documents Required for NEET Counselling:

The candidate is required to carry following documents at the time of reporting to the allotted college.

  • NEET 2018 Admit Card
  • NEET 2018 Rank Letter
  • Class 10 certificate and marksheet
  • Class 12 certificate and marksheet
  • ID Proof
  • Passport size photographs (8)
  • Provisional Allotment Letter
  • Category certificate (for the candidates of reserved category)
