NEET Application Forms to be available in January 2018

It is anticipated that the NEET Application Forms would be released on the CBSE Official Website in the month of January in the year 2018. Admissions based on NEET shall begin in the deemed universities from July 10 and NEET Results would be announced in the initial week of June.

The NEET Important Dates are mentioned as below:

  • NEET would be conducted on May 10, 2018.
  • CBSE would be releasing NEET UG Online Application Form in the last week of January 2018.
  • The Closing of Application Fee payment facility would be available in the first week of March 2018.
  •  The Last date to apply for NEET Application would be in the first week of March 2018.

NEET 2018

The Important guidelines that the candidate must keep in mind for NEET are as follows:

  • Aadhaar Card is a mandatory requirement for form submission apart from being eligible for NEET Examination.
  • The Mobile number and Email ID entered at the time of registration must be that of the candidate of his parents/guardians.
  • All the official communication regarding the examination would be sent to the contacts mentioned.
  • The minimum age limit to apply for NEET 2018 is 17 years and maximum age limit is relaxed for a period of 5 years for the SC/ST/OBC/PH as per the set Government Rule.

The age criteria for appearing in NEET UG has been listed as below:

For candidates belonging to the Unreserved category, who are born between 06.05.1994 and 01.01.2002, 25 years as on 31 December 2018.

The candidate can also use the age calculator for NEET 2018.  The age calculator gives the age of the candidate as per the date on which he was born.

Nationality Criteria

The NEET Eligibility Criteria is as follows:

  • A student from the NRIs (Non-Resident Indians), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Foreign Nationals are eligible to appear for NEET 2018.
  • All Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for NEET UG 2018.

Students must have passed 12th Board from the State Exam board or from a recognized university. The subject in Grade 12 is required to be Physics, Chemistry, Biology/biotechnology with any other elective in English.

Students would be required to score a minimum of 50% marks in PCB Group for General candidates and 45% for General-PH and 40% for SC/ST/OBC Categories.
