The National Testing Agency (NTA) began the registration procedure of NEET Exam on 2nd December 2019. The registration window was opened at 4 o'clock in the evening. NTA being the conducting authority of NEET 2020 has begun the online registration procedure on its official website i.e. ntaneet.nic.in. The exam was previously conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Candidates who are willing to take NEET Exam must register themselves before the registration window closes.

Before NEET Registration, candidates must make sure that they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria defined by NTA in order to apply for the exam.

More About NEET Exam

NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is the only entrance test that students can take in order to take admission to medical programs namely MBBS and BDS. There used to be various examinations held by various medical institutes but from 2020-21 academic session, the Ministry of Human Resource and Development has prescribed one single medical entrance examination for all the medical institutes across the country.

The score obtained by candidates in NEET 2020 would be sufficient to get a seat allotted in medical institutes such as AIIMA, JIPMER, Private medical institutes, Medical colleges run by state, AFMC, ESIC, etc.

NEET 2020 Eligibility

As per the notification released by NTA, candidate appearing in NEET 2020 are required to fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria:

  • Nationality – Only Indian students can register themselves for taking NEET 2020 Exam
  • Academic Qualification – Candidates must have completed 12th class in the relevant field from a recognized board.
    • Candidates appearing in 12th class can also apply for the examination.
  • Subjects Required – Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology in 12th class. They must also have Mathematics and an additional subject along with English.
