NEET 2019: Registration Process extended by NTA, Apply at nta.ac.in before December 7

By: Sakshi Awasthi on November 30, 2018

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the NEET 2019 Registration Process till December 7, 2018. The candidates aspiring to appear for NEET 2019 must visit the official website of NTA at nta.ac.in or mcc.nic.in. The date has been extended after the Supreme Court passed the decision that allows candidate above 25 years of age to apply for the exam.

NEET

The apex court asked NTA to extend the NEET UG 2019 Application date by a week to accommodate all the students who were not able to apply earlier due to upper age limit criteria. The NEET aspirants who couldn't apply earlier due to age barrier can now apply for the exam by December 7, 2018.

The Supreme Court also said that the candidature of those candidates (aged above 25 years) will be subject to the final outcome of the case before the court on the validity of Central Board of Secondary Education i.e. CBSE's decision to fix upper age limit.

Earlier the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, commonly known as NEET was conducted by CBSE. From the current year, NTA will be conducting the national level entrance examination for higher education such as JEE Main, CMAT, UGC NET etc.
