The Medical Council of India (MCI) Gazette made a big announcement, that would surely give a sigh of relief to the NEET aspirants who are willing to study MBBS in foreign universities. According to the MCI Gazette, from the academic year 2019, NEET score will be valid for a period of 3 years. Earlier, the score was valid for 1 year.
The MCI Gazette mentioned, “The Result of NEET shall be valid for a period of three (3) years from the date of declaration of result, entitling a candidate to pursue MBBS or equivalent medical course including pre-medical/ language course, if any, followed by MBBS or equivalent medical course.”
The candidate must note that the mentioned validity of NEET Score is only for the Screening Test Regulations required for candidates aspiring to study medical programmes in a foreign country.
Earlier, the candidates applying in foreign universities must get a certification of eligibility from the Ministry of Health. Now, the candidates aspiring to study MBBS abroad must qualify NEET and their score will be valid for the next three years.
NEET 2019 is scheduled to be conducted on May 5, 2019. The candidates who successfully registered can download their NEET Admit Card from the official website of NTA after April 15, 2019. NEET Result is expected to be declared on June 5, 2019. NEET Counselling will commence from June 12, 2019, for the candidates who qualify the examination.
