The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2019) First Round of Counseling starts from today i.e. on June 19, 2019, for admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses across India. Candidates who have qualified the NEET UG 2019 are required to fill their choices on the official website mcc.nic.in.
The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) under the Ministry of Health, Directorate General of Health Services and family welfare will begin the first counseling of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET 2019 for admission to undergraduate MBBS and BDS programs across India from June 19, 2019.
The counseling for 15 % All India Quota, central universities would be done by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The counseling schedule for the 85 % State Quota would be released individually by the respective counseling bodies.
The first seat allotment result will be announced on June 27, 2019
Only those candidates who have scored minimum required qualifying percentile in NEET 2019 will be able to participate in the counseling process for undergraduate MBBS/BDS admissions.
NEET counseling procedure will include the following processes in line for admission to MBBS and BDS courses offered by various government and private medical colleges of India:
Candidates who have scored the minimum qualifying percentile in NEET UG 2019 will have to register themselves for the NEET Counselling process.
Candidates will have to pay two kinds of fee non-refundable and refundable registration fees through online mode.
In NEET 2019 a total of 797042 applicants qualified out of the 1410755 candidates appeared for the exam.
In this step, students have to fill the choices of course and colleges according to their preferences. Candidates are advised to choose the preferences in order of the priority.
Seat allotment result will be declared by the authority as per the schedule mentioned below. The seats will be allotted as per the preferences made by the candidates in the choice locking process.
After the seats are allotted to the candidates, they will have to report to the allotted college within the time limit to confirm their seat. In case a candidate fails to reach the allotted colleges within the given time period, then their seat will automatically be transferred to the next candidate.
MCC will conduct the process of counseling for all qualified candidates the schedule for which is mentioned below:

NEET UG 2019 scores will be used for admissions to Indian medical colleges and institutes. Besides this, NEET is also mandatory for Indian students who aspire to study medicine and related fields abroad. In addition to this, NEET has also been made compulsory for admission to AYUSH courses.
