NEET 2018: Strict Dress Code

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a strict dress code for the NEET 2018 examination. The examination is scheduled to be conducted on May 6, 2018 for the academic year 2018. According to the notification issued by the Board, all candidates must follow the guidelines.

JEE Advanced 2018 Format Changed

The guideline includes the following points:

  • Male aspirants appearing for the NEET 2018 examination must wear light-coloured clothing.
  • Male candidates shall wear half-sleeves shirts.
  • Male candidates are not allowed to wear Kurta-Pyjama.
  • Instead of shoes, all candidates must wear either sandals or slippers.
  • The female candidates shall not wear rings, pendants, necklaces, nose rings, earrings or any other kind of ornament. Only married applicants are allowed to wear bangles inside the examination hall.
  • The Muslim women candidates can wear Burqa and Hijab but must reach the examination hall timely for checking.

Additional to attire related guidelines, the Board has also notified that the candidates must not carry any stationary material such as pen, scale, eraser, pencil box, geometry box etc. to the examination hall. Candidates must not carry any written material and calculator to the examination centre.

All the candidates would be examined extensively by metal detectors at the examination centres and the candidates are requested to reach the examination centres by the prescribed timings to avoid the hassle. The scheduled time for the examination is 10 AM and according to a statement issued by CBSE, “The schedule will remain unaltered even if the test is declared a public holiday.”

About NEET:

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test known as NEET examination is a national level entrance examination conducted by CBSE for providing admissions to Under Graduate Medical and Dental courses in numerous private and government medical colleges. The examination will be conducted on May 6, 2018 and the Admit Cards for the same has been released on the official website of NEET i.e. cbseneet.nic.in and the result of the examination is expected to be released on June 5, 2018.
