NEET 2018: Counselling Registration Closed

The First round of Counselling Registration for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test i.e. NEET 2018 for Post Graduate Courses ended yesterday that is March 26 at 5 PM. Earlier the last date for this registration was March 24, 2018. This was the last opportunity for candidates to registered for the NEET PG Counselling for the academic year 2018. The deadline for registration was earlier extended by the National Board of Examination due to some technical issues with the software. According to the Health Ministry official, candidates were facing a lot of problems in the registration process which included the selection of colleges and courses they wanted to opt for. The qualified candidates can acquire further information about counselling on the official website i.e. https://neetpg.nbe.edu.in.

The MCC i.e. the Medical Counselling Committee is responsible for conducting counselling for 50 percent All India Quota seats for all the State Government Medical and Dental colleges. The committee will not be conducting counselling for the candidates of the state of Jammu and Kashmir and for all the PG seats of the Deemed Universities as per the Merit of PG NEET 2018.

The National Board of Examination (NBE) conducted the NEET-PG examination for the academic year 2018 in the month of January. The result of NEET PG 2018 was announced on January 23 and the roll number-wise Merit List was declared on February 16. A separate merit list was declared by the board for NEET PG All India Quota. The Board released the Score Cards of candidate eligible to participate in counselling for All India Quota, Central and Deemed Universities of NEET PG 2018 on February 26.

Cut-Off Details:

The candidates of general category must possess 50th percentile and the cut-off score out of 1200 is 321
The candidate of reserved category i.e. SC/ST/OBC/SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH must possess 40th percentile and the cut-off score out of 1200 is 281
The candidates of Unreserved category-PH must possess 45^th percentile and cut off score out of 1200is 300
