NEET 2017 Results Announced

After multiple court cases, delays and speculations the NEET 2017 results are finally announced by CBSE. 11.3 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam and had been eagerly waiting for the results. The initial date for the results announcement was 8th June which was delayed and dragged for a long time and is now finally announced after two weeks.
 
To check the results, candidates need to enter their roll number and date of birth. The results are declared in the form of a scorecard. The All India Rank (AIR), Category Rank(CR) and the percentile of the candidate is mentioned in the scorecard along with the individual scores obtained in each of the three subjects- Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The NEET Cutoff score for counselling under All India seats is also mentioned in the score card. Only the candidates positioned in the top 15 percentile of the country will be eligible for the counselling under all India Quota.
 
The official answer key had already been published on 15th June by CBSE. The final answer key after taking into account the objections raised has not been published till now and is expected to be released after the results.

1) Visit the official website of CBSE- http://cbseresults.nic.in/neet17rpx/neetJ17.htm
2) Enter your date of birth and roll number
3) Click on Submit.
 
Your scorecard will appear on the screen which will be available for download.
 
 Interesting Facts on NEET 2017:
 
  • The qualified candidates from the general category scored atleast 50 percentile marks, and those belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories scored at least 40 percentile marks.
  • The cutoff for General category is of 131 marks. The overall cut off is comparatively high with no chances of getting a Government seat below 500 marks this year.
  • Navdeep Singh from Muktsar, Punjab has achieved 99.99 percentile making him the topper of this highly competitive exam. He secured 697 marks out of 720. There are 9 girls in the top 25 scorers in the country this time.
  • Only 6.11 lakh students have qualified this exam out of the 11.3 lakh who attempted it. Out of these, 2.66 lakh are male aspirants, and 3.45 lakh are females. The counselling session for the qualified candidates for 65,000 MBBS and 25,000 BDS seats will begin soon.
  • The NEET is now the centralized gateway for admission to all Government, Private and deemed medical universities except AIIMS and JIPMER.
