MHT CET 2019: Detailed Paper Analysis by Experts

The Maharashtra Law Entrance Examination was conducted successfully on April 21, 2019 by DHE, Maharashtra. Alike the previous years, the paper was easy. However, the Logical Reasoning section was trickier and carried maximum questions on Analytical Reasoning.

MHT CET Paper Analysis 2019

MHT CET 2019 carried a total of 150 questions divided into 5 sections i.e. English, General Knowledge, Mathematics, Legal Aptitude & Legal Reasoning and Logical & Analytical Reasoning.

MHT CET 2019 | Section-wise Paper Analysis:

English | MHT CET Paper Analysis:

  • The section carried 3 FIBs with 2 blanks each, which were quite easy.
  • The two unseen passages of RC i.e. one on Lawyer's Profession and another on Driverless Car had 8 and 5 questions respectively.
  • The section carried 3 questions on phrase replacement, 2 questions on spelling corrections and 4 questions on sentence jumble.
  • There were 3 questions on error detection in the English section this year.
  • An attempt of 27-28 can be considered a good one.

General Knowledge| MHT CET Paper Analysis:

  • This section had a balanced mix of Current Affairs and Static.
  • There were 14 questions on Static General Knowledge and 16 questions on Current Affairs.
  • The questions on the static GK were quite easy and based on British Raj, Bengal Sati, Huein Tsang, Akbar Nama, Mahabodhi Tree, Kiru Hydro Power Project, Age of Rajya Sabha, Fundamental Rights and Panchayati Raj.
  • Current Affairs were based on Cricket, Awards, Important Days, Government Schemes.
  • An attempt of 24-27 can be considered a good one.

Legal Aptitude | MHT CET Paper Analysis:

  • The section carried 12 questions on contracts, 15 questions on the Law of torts and 7 questions on criminal law.
  • The section was easy and didn't require prior legal knowledge.
  • The sections covered topics namely defamation, private defense, offer & acceptance, VNFI, Murder, Theft, Ignorance of Law etc.
  • An attempt of 37-39 can be considered a good one.

Logical Reasoning | MHT CET Paper Analysis:

  • This section was comparatively difficult than other sections.
  • There was no question based on input-output.
  • Four-questions were based on coding-decoding, 2 questions on Blood Relations and 5 questions on inequality, 4 questions on Statement-Conclusions and 1 on inference.
  • An attempt of 25-30 can be considered a good one.

Mathematics | MHT CET Paper Analysis:

  • The section carried total of 10 questions based on profit, Loss & Discount, Time & Work, Quadratic Equations and Fractions.
  • The candidates took maximum 10 minutes to complete the section an.
  • An attempt of 7-8 can be considered a good one.

MHT CET Expected Cutoff:

The MHT CET Cutoff for the candidates of Maharashtra would be around 95-100 for GLC & ILS, whereas, the same for outside Maharashtra Student would be 105-108 or GLC and ILS.
