List of Exams Postponed Due to 2019 Lok Sabha Elections

Examination schedule for a lot of popular exams of the country has been affected because of the recent announcement of General Elections Schedule 2019. A lot of national as well as state level competitive examinations has been rescheduled (Postponed or Preponed) due to its clash with the dates of voting in several states. From JEE Mains, JEE Advanced to ATMA, check here the list of exams for which the dates have changed.
The Election Commission of India has announced the dates for General Election to be conducted in country on April 11, 18, 23 and April 29, 2019, as well as May 6, 12 and 19, 2019.
JEE Main:
The first examination in the list which is being postponed is the very popular national level engineering entrance examination, JEE Main 2019. National Testing Agency (NTA) has rescheduled the exam date for the mentioned examination, observing its clash with voting dates in some of the states. As per the earlier released scheduled, the exam was scheduled from April 7 to April 20, 2019. Now the exam is rescheduled to April 7 for Paper 2 – B. Arch/ B. Planning and Paper 1 (B.E/ B.Tech) will be conducted from April 8, 9, 10 and 12.
JEE Advanced:
Candidates qualifying JEE Main will be eligible to apply for JEE Advanced 2019, which earlier was scheduled to be held on May 19, 2019 will now be conducted on May 27, 2019. The authority to extend the examination date so that all the applicants in all the states can appear for the exam without any trouble due to elections.
CLAT 2019:
One of the popular law exams for admission in law courses offered at National Law Universities of the country is CLAT. Thousands of students applied for the examination should note that now the exam will be held on May 26, 2019, in the earlier decided time slot of 3 to 5 PM. The authority even extended the last date of application.
KEAM 2019:
The Kerala Engineering, Architecture and Medical and Pharmacy Courses examination popularly known as KEAM will now be conducted on April 23, 2019, in centres formed in 14 districts of Kerala state, centres in Mumbai, New Delhi and Dubai. Revised schedule of the examination will be released soon on the official website.
VITEEE 2019:
Vellore Institute of Technology has decided to reschedule its engineering entrance examination VITEEE 2019 because of elections in some of the major cities in the earlier decided date slot. Now, the university will conduct the examination from April 10 to April 21, 2019. An official notice regarding the schedule change was released earlier last month on official website vit.ac.in.
ATMA 2019:
Unlike other examination, dates of AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA) has been preponed and the exam will now be conducted May 18, 2019. ATMA 2019 as per the earlier notification released by The Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) was scheduled on May 19, 2019 but observing the election dates the authority has decided to rescheduled the examination.
Apart from the above-mentioned examination, there are few more like ICAI CA, GUJCET, APPSC group 1 service, UP BEd JEE and PGIMER MD/MS entrance exam has been rescheduled due to Lok Sabha Elections.
