JEE Main registration for the academic year of 2019-2020, which was started on September 1st, 2018, is going to end on September 30, 2018. For the students who have still not registered for the national level entrance examination have time to do the same, all they need is to visit the official website of JEE Mains 2019 i.e nta.ac.in.
This is the first time National testing agency (NTA) is leading the examination, which will be conducted twice a year from 2019. NTA is officially assigned to conduct the national level entrance examination like JEE Main, NEET, GPAT, CMAT and NET, which earlier used to be conducted by either CBSE or AICTE. Candidates after registration can make online payment of registration fees till October 1 by 11.50 PM. NTA will allow candidates to make the correction in the application form, if they need to, from October 8 to October 14. JEE Main admit card will be released on December 7th, for the part 1 of the examination which will be conducted in multiple sessions over a period of two weeks from 6th to 20th January 2019.
JEE Main is conducted every year for admissions in the Undergraduate Programs in NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Government Funded Technical Institutions of India. From this year examination pattern has been changed and all the papers will be conducted online with an exception of drawing paper. The second part of this year’s examination will be conducted in the month of April in the window of 6th April to 20th April 2018 and registration for the same will start from February 8th, 2019.
NTA also in a recent notification has mentioned that the merit list of the examination will be declared on basis of percentile not just the raw marks. The decision is taken by the council of the experts to maintain a fair evaluation and scoring scheme with the students after the introduction of NTA’s plan of conducting the exam twice every year.
NTA has also released one more statement regarding the questions being asked by the student related to need of aadhaar card in the registration process. The conducting authority has cleared that aadhaar card is not mandatory for registration of JEE Mains 2019. Candidate can use any other government approved identity card like Voter Id Card, Passport, driving licenses and others.
