JIPMER Registration begins on 7 March 2018

Online registration for JIPMER MBBS would be beginning early this year. Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Examination and Research would begin the registration process on 7 March 2018. The JIPMER Registration begun on March 27, 2017, last year. 

JIPMER is one of the most top ranking institutes in the country. JIPMER MBBS Entrance examination witnesses a lot of attention from the examination aspirants, the examination is slated to be held from June 3, 2018. The details about the examination can be referred to by the students on the official website. 

The JIPMER MBBS Date Schedule is as follows:

  1. Online Registration: 7 March 2018 - 13 April 2018
  2. Entrance Examination: 3rd June 2018
  3. Initial Counseling: 27-29 June 2018
  4. Second Counseling: 25 July 2018
  5. Third Counseling: 20 August 2018
  6. Final Counseling: 28 September 2018
  7. Admission Closing: 30 September 2018

The exam in the previous session was held on June 4, for which the JIPMER MBBS Admit Card was released a week before. About 1.8 Lakh candidates had applied for the examination. The JIPMER Examination would be held at 339 examination centers all over 75 cities in the country. 

The entrance examination is held for a total of 200 seats, 150 out of which are for JIPMER Puducherry and the rest at JIPMER Karaikal. 

A candidate who is willing to appear in JIPMER MBBS 2018 would be required to have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in subjects like Biology, Biotechnology, Physics, Chemistry with English as an elective topic. 

The General category students would be requiring 50% marks to be able to sit for the Undergraduate Examination. For Reserved Category it would be 40% and for Physically Challenged, 45%. 

Candidates would be required to be not less than 17 years at the time of admission. JIPMER Campus has 200 seats, inclusive of 50 in Karaikal Branch. JIPMER and AIIMS conduct their own entrance examinations and would be exempted from NEET-UG  for admission to MBBS courses.
