JEE Mains 2017 Will Have an Aadhar Based Attendance System

CBSE is trying to put an end to impersonation in major exams like JEE Main etc. In regards to this, the Joint Apex Board (JAB) has notified to use Aadhaar-based biometric machines at JEE Main 2017 exam centres to mark the attendance for all the candidates appearing for JEE Mains 2017.

According to the latest notification, the biometric machines will be installed at all the JEE Main 2017 test centres, and they would be linked to the Aadhaar Card Database and expenses for the same would be borne by CBSE.

From this year, Aadhaar Card has been made compulsory for JEE Main 2017 registrations. However, candidates from Jammu and Kashmir, Meghalaya and Assam have been exempted from this rule of producing Aadhaar numbers/cards while filling up JEE Main 2017 application forms.
