JEE Main 2018: Students of Naxal-affected Dantewada clear JEE Main

A total number of 18 students from the Naxal-affected district of Dantewada in Chhatisgarh cleared the JEE Main 2018 examination. The result for the same was announced on April 30, 2018 and now all these 18 students will be appearing for JEE Advanced 2018 examination which is scheduled to be conducted on May 20, 2018.

JEE Advanced 2018 Format Changed

A district which has been ruined with everlasting ferocity for decades is in news for a good reason this time.

One of the students who qualified JEE Main examination said, “It is my dream to get admission into the IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology) or NITs (National Institutes of Technology). I am very happy to have cleared the JEE Main and am now preparing for next stage.”

The District Collector Saurabh Kumar stated that this year eighteen students of Dantewara cleared the JEE Main examination and it's a moment of happiness for them. Kumar also said that they will also take care that these students appear in JEE Advanced examination with full preparations.

Nearly 11.35 Lakh candidates appeared for JEE Main examination which was successfully conducted on April 8, 2018 and April 15 & April 16, 2018. Out of them, 2.31 Lakh candidates qualified the exam to appear for JEE Advanced 2018.

This year Bhogi Suraj Krishna of Vijayawada bagged the first position in JEE Main 2018 examination. The second position is achieved by Hemant Kumar Chodipilli of Andhra Pradesh, followed by Parth Laturia of Rajasthan who obtained the third position in the examination.
