JEE MAIN Results- OUT

The JEE Mains result was announced 27^th April 2017. The exam was held on 2^nd and 8th April and attempted by over 11 lakh aspiring engineers. Scoring well in this exam is the only way to qualify for the next stage-JEE Advanced which is the pathway to the most prestigious engineering colleges of the country –IITs, NITs, and other centrally funded institutions.

KALPIT VEERVAL from Udaipur made history by scoring 360 /360 for the first time ever in the history of this exam. He was a regular student and his perseverance made him succeed. He says that he never missed any classes and was regular with his coaching and school. He did not abstain from the use of technology but rather put it to good use. He stayed away from the social media sites but used the internet as a never-ending source of information. He made sure to clear all his doubts to make his concepts crystal clear.

Out of the total 11.8 Lakh applicants who appeared for the JEE Mains, 2.2 lakh candidates have qualified the exam and will be appearing for the JEE Advanced.

This year, no weightage is being given to the marks obtained by the candidate in his 12^th Board examination. However, to be eligible for the IITs and NITs, the candidate must have obtained atleast 75% in their board examination. The qualifying marks have been reduced to 65% for the SC/ST.

Vasu Jain, Ananye Agarwal secure the second and third rank all over India respectively.

Vrunda Rathi, Poorva Garg, Naryana Reddy are the girls who topped the examination.
