The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the result of JEE Main examination which was conducted on April 8, 2018 for Paper-Pen Mode and April 15 and April 16, 2018 for Computer Based Test Mode. Nearly 12 Lakh candidates applied for the examination out of which 2.31 Lakh candidates have qualified for JEE Advanced Examination which is scheduled to be conducted on May 20, 2018. This year Bhogi Suraj Krishna of Andhra Pradesh has topped the list.

The result has been announced on the official website of JEE Main i.e. jeemain.nic.in and the result comprises of marks scored by the candidate in Paper 1 along with their All India Rank. The students who appeared for JEE Main 2018 examination can check the JEE Main result by pursuing the following the steps.
Steps to check JEE Main 2018 Result:
Step 1: Visit the official website i.e. jeemain.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in or results.nic.in.
Step 2: Select the ‘JEE Main Result' link available on the screen.
Step 3: Provide the required details such as your name, registration number or roll number and date of birth.
Step 4: Submit the form
Step 5: The result will be displayed on the screen. Download it and take a print out for future reference.
According to the notification released by the Board out of total number of applicants 8.57 Lakh candidates appeared for offline examination whereas nearly 2.17 Lakh appeared for online mode of examination.

Bhogi Suraj Krishna of Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh) has topped the JEE Main 2018 examination, followed by another Andhra Pradesh applicant Hemant Kumar Chodipilli on the second position. Parth Laturia of Rajasthan attained the third position in this examination.
Suraj Krishna said that he was confident about his performance after checking the answer keys, but he never expected that he will top the list. He further added that he wants to join Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-B).

The online registrations for JEE Advanced examination will commence from May 2, 2018 on the official website of JEE Advanced. The JEE Advanced examination will comprise of two papers. Paper 1 will be for B.E. and B. Tech. whereas Paper 2 will be for B. Arch and B. Planning.
