JEE Main Postponed - Do You Know the Revised Dates of JEE Main 2021 April Session (Phase 3)?

JEE Main 2021 JEE Main 2021 Phase 3 (April session) has been postponed due to the sudden rise in COVID-19 cases across the country. The education minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank', on 18th April 2021, declared that JEE Main phase 3 for April session that was scheduled to be conducted from 27th April 2021 to 30th April 2021 will be postponed until further notice. The previous two sessions of JEE Main i.e. phase 1 and phase 2 were successfully conducted in February and March months. The number of new cases of Corona (in one day) has reached 2,73,802 which is the highest of the previous 13 months.

Candidates who get to qualify JEE Main exam can apply for admission to NITs, CFTIs, and other government funded technical institutions. The first 2,50,000 candidates qualifying JEE Main exam will be shortlisted for JEE Advanced exam. Qualifying JEE Advanced exam will get students admission to IITs.

Revised Schedule of JEE Main 2021 April Session

The education minister declared the postponement of JEE Main 2021 Phase 3 on Twitter. He addressed JEE Main aspirants on Twitter and assured them of declaring the new dates of JEE Main Exam at least before 15 days of the commencement of examination.

Students are also advised to keep visiting the official website of JEE Main and NTA i.e. jeemain.nta.nic.in and nta.ac.in for the latest updates and any clarification related to JEE Main Exam.

Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank' tweeted:

"Given the current #covid19 situation, I have advised @DG_NTA to postpone the JEE (Main) - 2021 April Session. I would like to reiterate that safety of our students & their academic career are @EduMinOfIndia''s and my prime concerns right now,"

An official notice released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) reads:

"However, looking at the present situation of COVID-19 pandemic and also taking into account the safety and wellbeing of candidates and examination functionaries, it has been decided to postpone JEE-(Main) April session".

“In the meantime, candidates are advised to use this time to prepare themselves better for the examination. They can also take practice (full length/ chapter wise) tests on the NTA Abhyas App from the comfort of their homes.”

Also, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to cancel 10th class board exams and postpone class 12th board exams due to a nationwide COVID-19 surge. Various petitions were received by parents, students, and politicians to cancel or delay the examination in order to keep everyone safe of the current situation.
