A complaint has been filed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) against a website which published and transmitted fake news alleging that few questions of the JEE Main 2018 Question Paper were identical to a mock test released by Narayana Coaching Centre in the year 2016. The JEE Main Paper-Pen Mode examination was conducted on April 8, 2018 and there were allegations that 7 questions in Physics examination were plagiarized. The Board has condemned all the allegations and has lodged a complaint against the website on Wednesday for circulating Fake News.
The Board stated that all the questions in the paper were originals and set by the examiners almost two months back. A senior CBSE Officer said that the JEE Main Question paper contains question picked from question bank containing nearly 1,500 original items. The question bank is arranged by more than 100 experts in the handwritten form. The Officer also said, “After that, 90 questions are drawn randomly from the bank and eight to nine sets are created. After this, the moderator even makes handwritten changes to each set. Then any one set is randomly picked for use in JEE and sent to the confidential printer.”

The Board asked people to not to pay importance to the Fake News and notified that, “CBSE Reiterates that all these 7-8 questions were originally written only about two to three months back and they cannot and could not have figured in any model paper by any coaching institutions two years back. There is an atmosphere of falsities and rumor mongering being deliberately perpetrated against a prestigious organization like CBSE.”
The JEE Main 2018 examination for Computer-based Test mode is scheduled to be conducted on April 15 and April 16, 2018.
